Software & Operations Manager

Job Summary: Kane Realty Corporation is currently seeking a Software & Operations Manager to support the Kane Residential team of a fast-growing full-service commercial real estate developer and operator. This role will help vet, implement, and manage software solutions, such as Yardi and other prop-tech innovations, to help improve overall operational efficiency and reporting. Additionally, this role will provide critical training, help desk and trouble-shooting resources, and day-to-day operations support for team members of Kane Residential.

The successful candidate will be analytically savvy, a true self-starter who tackles problems with initiative and tenacity, and someone who has experience helping organizations scale through technological innovations and programmatic training initiatives to help support individual team member growth. Familiarity with or experience within the commercial real estate or property management field is also preferred.

Software Operations Management

  • Provide on-going software support for site and corporate teams. Manage Yardi Help Desk tickets and ensure that all requests are prioritized and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Set up all new properties in Yardi Database and Yardi Bolt On modules such as CRM Flex, Hunter Warfield, Site Manager Rent Café, Checkpoint ID, Yardi Renters Insurance/Master Policy, Chat IQ, Yardi Resident Screening, Blue Moon Boost, Pet Screening, etc.
  • Set up new property Rent Café resident/prospect portals
  • Lead Conservice utility set up for all new development properties and property acquisitions
  • Lead all software related task for property acquisition and dispositions
  • Work with NAA/TAA to ensure Blue Moon Lease is active for pre-leasing/leasing efforts on any new property or new acquisition
  • Lead bi-annual audits with RM to ensure compliance of all onsite policy and procedures


  • Help establish robust onboarding, training and ongoing employee development program through the establishment of a formalized mentorship program, a Learning Management System (LMS), and a decentralized training team.
  • Participate in onboarding and conduct in-person or zoom trainings with all new hires on all applicable software
  • Identify areas of software/technology training needs for individual team members
  • Lead and direct training for all residential team members on software, and operational policies and procedures
  • Identify, implement, and analyze training programs for site teams. Effectively communicate any new processes to site teams and hold teams accountable.
  • Facilitate e-learning program for employees and maintain/track completion of courses.
  • Develop and share bi-weekly tips of best practices for workflows with site and corporate teams
  • Identify areas of software/technology training needs for individual team members
  • Ensure all employees complete necessary trainings and certifications, such as Fair Housing and Sexual Harassment, by the appropriate deadlines


  • Work with leadership and managers to identify, vet, and implement new global software solutions to improve operational efficiencies, enhanced reporting and analytics, and market intelligence platforms to help guide data-driven decision making.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2-4 years professional work experience, preferably with a focus on software and operations in commercial/residential real estate property management.
  • Experience in Yardi Voyager, CRM, and Rent Café platforms is required
  • Knowledge or understanding of commercial and residential property management laws and regulations, federal, state, and local (including Fair Housing, NCUC, etc.)
  • Proficient with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Excel. Industry software experience is strongly preferred.
